CDA holds session to tap Emirati youth potential

dubai — The Youth Council of Dubai’s Community Development Authority (CDA) has marked the World Youth Day, annually on August 12th, with a “Youth Circle”, organised in collaboration with the Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities in Dubai.

Aligning with directives from His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, the session sought to highlight young Emiratis’ role in social development and sustainable national projects, and explore prospects for developing their ideas. The session also identified young people’s aspirations for the future of the UAE and included ‘people of determination’.

Saeed Ahmad Al Tayer, CEO of social planning and development sector, acting director-general of CDA, said: “The discussions that took place in the Youth Circle revealed a unanimous conviction among participants regarding the youth’s critical role in national and community development. We must determine the optimal approaches to tap into their potential. Young people are top priority for our leaders, who have the highest hopes and aspirations for a better and brighter future for our country.
