abu dhabi — An ‘Emirati school model’ will be rolled out across the UAE to standardis­e the education system. Launched earlier this year, the model provides rich curriculum, excellence in student skills and courses, as well as high quality of education.

The Ministry of Education and the Abu Dhabi Education Council, (Adec) announced a plan on Sunday to begin a process to achieve the standardis­ation of their education systems.

The alignment plan will consolidat­e the ministry’s policies and courses across the UAE’s public and private schools which follow the ministry’s system.

The move follows the directives of the President, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan; His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid

The plan will consolidat­e the systems, policies and courses across the UAE’s public and private schools which follow the ministry’s system Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai; and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid said: “The prime goal is to enable all schools across the country to operate within a homogeneou­s framework to generate graduates as per best internatio­nal standards.”

Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed pointed out: “The UAE ... will continue to elevate the education system to internatio­nal benchmark to produce ambitious generation­s who are capable of writing new success stories in the nation’s renaissanc­e.” — Wam
