DBMSC A, Khaleej Times, EPPCO take honours
dubai — DBMSC A emerged champions in the gold division of the Sprite Summer Cup cricket tournament, a Press release said.
Khaleej Times clinched the silver division and EPPCO won the bronze division titles in the ICC Cricket Academy-organised tournament at the ICC Cricket Academy indoor facilities in Dubai Sports City.
In the gold division final, SFS, batting first, made just 63.
In reply, DBMSC A made a strong start with the opening pair of Aqib Malik (12) and Sameer N (10) adding 22 runs. The next pair also added the same score with Ramveer scoring 10 and Rohan Mustafa hitting 12. DBMSC even- tually made 71 to clinch the trophy.
In the silver division final, Khaleej Times achieved 51 with Charith and Asif top scoring with 11 each while Farhan chipped in with 10.
In reply, Falcons B failed to get the big ones with only Jatinder (10) reaching the double figure.
In the bronze division final, EPPCO made 72 and restricted CoBros to 66. Brief scores: Gold division: SFS 63 (Asif 13, Nadir 16) lost to DBMSC A 71 (Aqib Malik 12, Sameer N 10, Ramveer 10, Rohan Mustafa 12). Silver division: Khaleej Times 51 (Farhan 10, Asif 11, Charith, 11) beat Falcons B 23 (Jatinder 10). Bronze division: EPPCO 72 (Abdul Rashid 15, Raees 12, Perera 10, Imran 10, Yunus 13) beat CoBros 66 (Sherry 12, Ansar 11, Qasim 17).
