dubai — Investigation into the mysterious death of a Nepalese couple in their flat in Dubai proved that the husband stabbed his wife to death before committing suicide.

The Dubai Public Prosecution has ruled out any external involvement in the incident.

According to police sources, the operations room of the Dubai Police received information on Friday that a man was found dead inside a flat in Al Baraha area. The police rushed to the site and found the body of the 35-year-old Nepalese man, identified as B.R., hanging from the ceiling fan in his room. The police interrogated the relatives of the man, who were sharing the flat with the couple. B.R. and his wife K.S. were working as cleaners.

One of their flatmates told the police that when he came back from work around 8.30pm on Friday, he saw the body of B.R. and called the police.

The police enquired about his wife who had not gone to work that day. They tried to call her on mobile and found the phone inside the flat. While the police searched the room, they saw the body of K.S., lying in a pool of blood. She was stabbed to death with a knife, which was also found in the room. The police referred the body of the woman to the forensic department .

During police and prosecution interrogation, the witnesses said there were disputes between the couple as the husband had accused the wife of having illicit relations.
