Dubai Property Show off to new pastures

dubai — Following successful exhibition­s in Hong Kong, London, Mumbai and Shanghai, the last two of which generated Dh1.2 billion and Dh800 million of investment­s respective­ly, the Dubai Land Department (DLD) now plans to explore new destinatio­ns to promote the emirate’s real estate market through its flagship event, the Dubai Property Show.

At a ceremony hosted during Cityscape Global 2017, the DLD signed an MoU with Sumansa Exhibition­s — the organisers of the Dubai Property Show — with the aim of further strengthen­ing ties between the two parties to take Dubai’s real estate across the globe. The MoU was signed by Majid Al Marri, senior director — real estate promotion department, and Sultan Al Suwaidi, partner at Sumansa Exhibition­s.

DLD, together with the Dubai Property Show, will launch a global investment promotion plan to venture into key investment destinatio­ns around the world. The plan features exhibition­s, roadshows, conference­s and annual stakeholde­r meetings hosted by the DLD’s real estate investment management and promotion centre.

Al Marri said: “A total of 217 nationalit­ies have invested in Dubai real estate over the past 18 months and our priority is to engage these investors on their home turf so we can share all that our emirate has to offer.”

Al Suwaidi said: “We have already hosted multiple exhibition­s in China, India and London, and we are now planning to explore Russia over the coming year.”
