Dubai Property Show off to new pastures
dubai — Following successful exhibitions in Hong Kong, London, Mumbai and Shanghai, the last two of which generated Dh1.2 billion and Dh800 million of investments respectively, the Dubai Land Department (DLD) now plans to explore new destinations to promote the emirate’s real estate market through its flagship event, the Dubai Property Show.
At a ceremony hosted during Cityscape Global 2017, the DLD signed an MoU with Sumansa Exhibitions — the organisers of the Dubai Property Show — with the aim of further strengthening ties between the two parties to take Dubai’s real estate across the globe. The MoU was signed by Majid Al Marri, senior director — real estate promotion department, and Sultan Al Suwaidi, partner at Sumansa Exhibitions.
DLD, together with the Dubai Property Show, will launch a global investment promotion plan to venture into key investment destinations around the world. The plan features exhibitions, roadshows, conferences and annual stakeholder meetings hosted by the DLD’s real estate investment management and promotion centre.
Al Marri said: “A total of 217 nationalities have invested in Dubai real estate over the past 18 months and our priority is to engage these investors on their home turf so we can share all that our emirate has to offer.”
Al Suwaidi said: “We have already hosted multiple exhibitions in China, India and London, and we are now planning to explore Russia over the coming year.”
