‘India, terrorist groups behind campaign against Pakistan in Geneva’
islamabad — Minister for Law and Justice Zahid Hamid on Wednesday said that India and terrorist organisations were behind campaign against Pakistan in Geneva.
Giving a policy statement in the Senate, Upper House of parliament, he said that Swiss ambassador was summoned by the Foreign Office and informed about violation of international law, UN Charter and Security Council resolutions as the Swiss land was being used against a sovereign country.
He said that posters against Pakistan were sponsored by terrorists organisations and India. The minister said that outlawed Balochistan Liberation Army was a listed terrorist organisation and reservations of Pakistan were conveyed to the ambassador of Switzerland. Senate Chairman Mian Raza Rabbani in his remarks said that most of the time Pakistan had to face allegations but Switzerland was allowing use of its soil for terrorism in Pakistan.
He said that Foreign Office should take strong steps as no one could be allowed to export terrorism and violate international laws.
Meanwhile, Minister for States and Frontier Regions (Safron) Abdul Qadir Baloch on Wednesday informed the National Assembly that the government had effectively raised outlawed Balochistan Liberation Army’s (BLA) anti-Pakistan propaganda campaign with Switzerland government.
He said Pakistan’s Foreign Office had summoned Switzerland’s envoy-designate Thomas Kolly over ‘Free Balochistan’ propaganda campaign being run in Geneva by the BLA, a terrorist and banned group.
He said Pakistan had asked the Swiss government that the use of its soil by terrorists and violent secessionists for nefarious designs against Pakistan was totally unacceptable. Qadir Baloch said it seemed that the campaign against Pakistan was funded by the enemy countries.
He observed arrest of Indian spy Kulbhushan Jadhav was the solid evidence of the Indian involvement in creating unrest in Balochistan. — APP
