UAE leaders greet Saudi King on National Day

abu dhabi — The President, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has sent a congratula­tory cable to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia, on the occasion of the 87th National Day of the Kingdom.

Sheikh Khalifa wished the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques good health and well-being and expressed wishes of prosperity and progress to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its people.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, also sent similar cables to King Salman on the occasion.

His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, and Crown Prince and Deputy Rulers of Sharjah also greeted King Salman on his country’s National Day.

In a message, His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mu’alla, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Umm Al Quwain, greeted King Salman and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Premier and Minister of Defence.

His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ajman, and His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, also sent congratula­tory cables to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques on Friday.

Dr Amal Abdullah Al Qubaisi, Speaker of the Federal National Council, congratula­ted the people and leadership of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. She wished them greater progress, welfare and prosperity.

In her cable to Dr Sheikh Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al Sheikh, Speaker of the Saudi Shurah Council, she praised the political approach of Saudi Arabia over eight decades, which has reflected positively not only on the Gulf Cooperatio­n Council member states but also on all Arab and Islamic countries.

She also noted the distinguis­hed UAE-Saudi relations that reflected the strong ties between the two fraternal peoples, as well as the depth of the vision and understand­ing of the leaders of both countries. — Wam
