Aussie men, women in final of Indoor WC

dubai — Australia men and women teams entered the final of the Indoor Cricket World Cup at the Insportz, Dubai, on Friday.

The Aussie women beat New Zealand 97 to 56 in the semifinal. Nicole Martin the top-scorer in the game with 25 runs said the team was looking forward to defending their world title for a record ninth time.

The Aussie men’s team too advanced with a 73-19 win against New Zealand. Australia have never lost in a World Cup final so far, and according to team captain Lyle Teske they are hoping to keep that record intact.
