Who’s to blame?
The tragedy in Mumbai where 22 people were killed is shocking. It brought tears to my eyes seeing the way people died. What’s worse is government apathy. Instead of providing relief and offering help to the victims, two political parties were blaming each other. Infrastructure development is last on the list for these parties who are only keen to hang on to power at any cost. It is good that the Indian media is highlighting the plight of the victims and the games politicians play. Lives have been lost, but no one seems to care. The media is asking the right questions to the people in power. They must be held to account and the guilty must be punished for this tragedy. — Arun Gopal, Dubai
