Suri welcomes decision to honour India at WGS
dubai — Indian Ambassador to the UAE Navdeep Singh Suri on Monday welcomed the World Government Summit’s (WGS) decision to host India as the guest of honour for its 2018 edition. The event will be held in Dubai on February 11-13 next year.
“Prime Minister Narendra Modi has championed the increasing use of cutting-edge innovations and technologies,” Suri said. “As the world’s largest event that is focused specifically on governance issues, WGS is the ideal platform for sharing the Prime Minister’s vision for broad-based socio-economic development with a global audience.”
Suri expressed confidence that under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces; this partnership will continue to go from strength to strength.

Participants included high-profile public figures and experts from the public and private sectors around the world, as well as heads of state, royalty, ministers, CEOs, innovators, entrepreneurs, academics and university students from the world’s top universities.
