PCFC’s stand at Gitex sees heavy footfall
dubai — The stand of Ports, Customs & Free Zone Corporation (PCFC) at Gitex Week Technology saw a heavy footfall on the exhibition’s fourth day.
Representatives of different local government departments and foreign entities visited the stand to learn about PCFC’s latest applications, programs and projects for this year. Issam Issa Al Humaidan, Dubai Attorney-General and Major-General Abdullah Khalifa Al Merri, head of Dubai Police, visited the stand and were detailed of the smart services and systems including the Smart Risk Engine and how to use it in seizures.
The Smart Risk Engine is a state of the art risk analysis and assessment engine developed in accordance with international standards of risk management. It helps in increasing the compliance and protection of the organisation and enables business users define risk indicators and their respective mitigation action in a business friendly manner.
The stand received delegates from Abu Dhabi Customs and Dubai Police Academy, plus strategic partners and exhibitors. Dubai Trade’s LogiGate application, for example, grabbed the attention of a delegate from Saudi Arabia. It is a smart logistics marketplace that provides users with two services “LogiGate Transport” and “LogiGate Warehousing” to manage land transportation and warehousing bookings, accessible both online and on smart phones iOS and Android.
Dubai Trade also introduced Mawani system. It is a port community system that integrates the services of port operators, air cargo carriers, customs and other government authorities and commercial operators to provide seamless process workflow to all other stakeholders involved in the end-to-end trade supply chain.
