Dubai opens its doors to all investors: Sheikh Mohammed

dubai — His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, received on Tuesday Jose Vinals, chairman of Standard Chartered Bank, as the bank’s board held its meeting for the first time in Dubai.

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council, and Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, also attended the meeting at Dubai Internatio­nal Financial Centre.

Sheikh Mohammed welcomed the bank chairman in Dubai, and said that the bank enjoys excellent logistics facilities to operate in the UAE. In another meeting, Sheikh Mohammed also received CEO of Barclays Bank, Jes Staley, and his accompanyi­ng delegation. His Highness welcomed the guests, and said that Dubai opens its door to all investors and provides them with conducive environmen­t to conduct their business.

The meetings were also attended by Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation; Mohammad bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and The Future; Mohammed Al Shaibani, Director-General of His Highness the Ruler of Dubai’s Court; Khalifa Saeed Suleiman, Director-General of the Department of Protocol and Hospitalit­y in Dubai, and Major General Talal Hamid Belhoul Al Falassi, along with a number of senior officials. — Wam
