100 YEARS OF ZAYED LOGO UNVEILED

The UAE will celebrate the legacy of the country’s founding father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, in 2018, which will be observed as the Year of Zayed. On Wednesday, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, unveiled the official logo of the initiative. The logo features a powerful silhouette of Sheikh Zayed’s profile in a monochromatic colour scheme. It will be used for all official communications pertaining to the initiative.

Year of Zayed themes

The ‘Year of Zayed’ will be observed under four main themes: Wisdom, Respect, Sustainability and Human Development.

The initiative will engage all demographics in the UAE, regionally and internationally to educate and create greater awareness of the life and achievements of Sheikh Zayed. It will reinforce his profile as that of one of the world’s greatest leaders and most inspirational figures, represent him as a powerful symbol of the UAE around the world, and celebrate and honour his legacy.

How to be part of event

In order to receive recognition as an official event or initiative of the ‘Year of Zayed’, individuals and entities must obtain approval from the Higher National Committee. Additionally, it is compulsory for all those developing official ‘Year of Zayed’ events to use the ‘Year of Zayed’ logo, in high resolution.

Permission mandatory

All local government and media entities are obliged to request permission from the Office in order to use the logo for all campaigns and initiatives related to the ‘Year of Zayed’ starting from 1 January 2018.
