Rosberg reveals a way to beat Lewis

- Ashwani Kumar

abu dhabi — Lewis Hamilton, the four-time champion, has won nine races this season. The Briton has been almost unbeatable this season but former teammate Nico Rosberg did managed to pip Hamilton to the title last year.

Rosberg told BBC how he gained an upper hand over Hamilton. “Our bodyweight was so crucial during the year because the car was overweight. And one kilo was four hundredth of a second.

“It’s huge. So, two kilos of my body weight almost a tenth of a second. I was a little bit over the weight as well so I thought ‘OK what am I going to do?’ And the only other solution was to stop cycling and therefore lose my leg muscles. And so in the summer I was one kilo lighter.”

“Then we went to Japan and during the qualifying had Lewis in front. I am doing my last possible lap and nailed it by three hundredths of a second. I got pole position by three-hundredth of a second. Massive.”

Rosberg said how he learned a lot from his former teammate Michael Schumacher. “Michael had an incredible way to do team building and to get respect from everybody in the team. It helped me a lot when Lewis came on board.”

Other celebrities included tennis star Maria Sharapova, US celebrity chef Martha Stewart, former Spice Girl Geri Halliwell and Game of Thrones star Liam Cunningham.
