British Orchard Nursery opens FAHR campus

dubai — British Orchard Nursery launched its 18th branch in collaborat­ion with the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR). The new campus aims to lessen the stress on working women, particular­ly the employees of FAHR, by taking the premium preschool and nursery services to their doorstep.

Dr Vandana Gandhi, founder and CEO of British Orchard Nursery, said: “The UAE government has always been sensitive to the needs of its women employees, gender balance, as well as designing policies with the aim to ease women related concerns. The initiative of workplace nurseries by the government has met with huge success and British Orchard Nursery is proud to be contributi­ng to UAE economy. We hope to work on such collaborat­ions with many corporates in future as well.”

The opening ceremony was attended by Mona Ghanem Al Marri, vice-president of the UAE Gender Balance Council; Dr Abdul Rahman Al Awar, directorge­neral of the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources; Shamsa Saleh, secretaryg­eneral of the UAE Gender Balance Council; a number of FAHR officials; and representa­tives of the British Orchard Nurseries Group, which is entrusted with the management of the nursery.

Dr Al Awar said that the nursery provides an ideal educationa­l environmen­t for the children of the staff, and allows them to practice innovative educationa­l and sports activities, develop their talents and cultivate a culture of creativity. He pointed out that the curriculum adopted by the nursery is the British curriculum, which is in full compliance with the directives of the Office of Educationa­l Standards.

The mursery at FAHR is run and managed by British Orchard Nursery Chain, Middle East’s largest ISO-certified nursery chain and the recipient of more than 25 certified quality awards.
