We salute Sheikh Mohammed for enriching our lives

-

The race for excellence has no finish line.” These are the words of none other than His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, the visionary who has led from the front to catapult Dubai into one of the finest destinations in the world. And there seems to be no stopping him. Each day, each hour is an opportunity to propel the emirate to greater heights in every field — technology, education, heath, innovation, humanitarian activities et al. Dubai will never settle for anything less than first place, he stresses. Sheikh Mohammed has shown the world how to reach that position, by taking the nation and his people along. The spirit of the young nation is his biggest asset, he says, stressing that when human beings have the courage and commitment to transform a dream into reality, nothing can stop them. The 200-odd nationalities working and living in harmony in Dubai is a testament to this and to the policy of tolerance followed by this great leader. Tolerance is not just another catchphrase but a quality we must cherish and practise, he reminds the people and government from time to time.

Sheikh Mohammed believes the nation’s leaders do not just promise, but deliver. And deliver, he did. The various free zones in the emirate are his brainchild. So are Health City, Media City, Internet City and Academic City, so much so that corporates the world over aspire to get an address in Dubai. He also shattered the myth that life in the desert is unbearable. Dubai’s residents live in ultra-modern conditions, enjoying the safety and security the state provides. In fact, this is easily among the safest places in the world. And as for the residents, it’s a privilege to be taken care of by this great leader whose declared goal is to create hope and happiness for every resident. On the 12th Accession Day of the Dubai Ruler, we salute the visionary who has enriched our lives.
