Bentley Bentayga is Dubai Police’s new luxury car

dubai — The Dubai Police have added Bentley Bentayga 2018 model to their fleet of luxury cars, announced a senior official on Thursday.

The new vehicle will join the fleet patrols of the Dubai Police in conjunctio­n with the launch of its new corporate identity. Listed among the most luxurious SUVs in the world, the car with the new Dubai Police emblem on it was displayed at City Walk on Thursday. The car also carries the message from His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, ‘Thank you Mohamed bin Zayed’.

Major-General Khalil Ibrahim Al Mansouri, assistant commander-in-chief of the Dubai Police for Criminal Investigat­ion Affairs, and Brigadier Mohammed Rashid bin Sirai Al Muhairi, deputy director of the general department of criminal investigat­ion, received the new car from Mohammed Khalaf Al Habtoor, vice-chairman and CEO of Al Habtoor Group, at the headquarte­rs of the Dubai Police.

Major-General Al Mansouri thanked Al Habtoor Group for its efforts in highlighti­ng the cultural role of the Dubai Police in serving the community.

First-Lieutenant Saif Sultan Al Shamsi, head of the tourist security patrols department, explained that the Bentley Bentayga 2018 is one of the most luxurious cars in the world. The car with a 12-cylinder, 6.0-litre engine, can achieve 0 to 100kmph in 4.1 seconds and can accelerate­s to a top speed of 301kmph, making it the world’s fastest SUV.

The Dubai Police vehicle is equipped with a computer for operationa­l control, and has a special radar to catch the traffic violations.
