abu dhabi — For Indian expat Harikrishnan V. Nair, 2018 is the year he will travel the world with his family. Nair is busy planning the world tour after he won a whopping Dh12 million in the biggest-ever Big Ticket raffle on Sunday morning.

“I still cannot believe it. Is it me? Is it really me?” an excited Nair, from Kerala, India, told Khaleej Times over the phone.

When he told the big news to his wife, Nisha, she thought he was playing a prank on her. “Even yesterday he was casually telling me that he may win the raffle. I laughed it away, saying he thought the same the previous month, too, when he bought the ticket.”

Nisha said she would let Nair figure out what he wants to do with Dh12 million. “He is, after all, a business development manager and would know better how to manage his funds!”

However, she would like to see her husband vroom around in a Harley Davidson bike or a Cheverolet Camaro car. “Hari is a funloving person, and he has always fancied a sports car,” said Nisha.

Nair hit the jackpot in the third Big Ticket he bought. “I do not have any special plans as such. I have to sit down with a cool head and plan my life ahead. I do not want to leave the UAE. This is the place where dreams come true.”
