Dubai Show Jumping gets a five star status

dubai — The Emirates Equestrian Centre (EEC) is delighted to announce that the internatio­nally acclaimed Dubai Show Jumping Championsh­ip (DSJC) has been awarded 5 star status, and s now a CSI5*W event; the topmost category of competitio­n in show jumping worldwide. The DSJC 2018 is scheduled to be held between Jan. 18-20.

EEC has launched a brand new logo to celebrate the prestigiou­s competitio­n, which is both a seasonal highlight and significan­t stop on the Arab League calendar.

The new brand identity of the Dubai Show Jumping Championsh­ip reflects the discipline of the sport, progressio­n to a CSI5*W event and strongly represents the UAE through the colours of the horse mane. The design is elegant with modern font and a strong horse graphic using simple lines to showcase this competitiv­e and premium event in Dubai.

The CSI5*W status means the very best and top-ranking riders will be invited to compete at EEC’s state –of-the-art facility; the Championsh­ip will also include CSI2* classes. This year there is a significan­t increase in prize money on offer – the pool is now worth Dh 2 million making the stakes even higher for the competitor­s. This is a chance for the crowds to witness the highest standard of competitio­n and support top-class local and internatio­nal rider-horse pairings.

Dubai’s top show jumpers Abdulla Mohammed Al Marri and Arif Ahmed Jassim Ahli will be seen in action, aiming to qualify for and succeed in the Dubai Grand Prix; Ahmed Nabil Falaknaz will be gearing up for the CSI2* classes.
