Dubai — The Dubai Police’s first smart police station at City Walk is a huge hit among residents, a survey has revealed. Over 94 per cent of residents have expressed satisfaction over the services rendered at the station.

The survey, in which the station scored 94.3 per cent customer satisfaction level, was conducted by the Dubai Police’s public opinion survey centre.

Brigadier Khalid Nasser Al Razouqi, director of the general department of artificial intelligence (AI), said: “The Dubai Police follow the strategies of the wise leaders of the country, especially those pertaining to the concept of smart shift. Smart services will contribute to making Dubai the smartest city worldwide.”

He said the police use technology to serve customers in line with the best international standards. “Using technology helps increase the productivity of police work,” he pointed out.

The smart station was inaugurated by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, in September last year.

It is the first of its kind in the world and offers 60 criminal, traffic and social services. It also offers 33 other services.

Colonel Al Shaikh Mohamed Abdullah Al Mualla, director of the general department of excellence, said there are plans to open more smart centres in the next few years.
