Dubai Media City confirms support for 12th edition of Dubai Lynx as strategic partner

dubai — Dubai Media City, the region’s leading media hub, has confirmed its support for the 12th edition of the Dubai Lynx Internatio­nal Festival of Creativity (Dubai Lynx) as a strategic partner of the event. The move reinforces DMC’s role as an enabling platform and key facilitato­r for the Mena region’s creative communicat­ions industry.

From its futuristic stand at the festival that runs at the Madinat Arena in Dubai from March 11 to 14, Dubai Media City will showcase its vibrant ecosystem, expertise and diverse competenci­es. Visitors can enjoy a one-of-a-kind virtual reality tour of Dubai Media City’s ecosystem, in addition to learning more about the offerings of Tecom Group’s other media communitie­s — Dubai Studio City and Dubai Production City.

from Star Trek Beyond, the 2016 movie from the hugely popular longrunnin­g science fiction franchise that was partly filmed in Dubai.

The upcoming edition of Dubai Lynx, a sister festival to the Cannes Lions Internatio­nal Festival of Creativity (Cannes Lions), will feature a broad range of talks, thought sessions and networking events headlined by industry leaders and promoting leading brands. The event will also offer a wealth of networking opportunit­ies, and culminate in an annual awards night that celebrates the best work from across the region and draws the participat­ion of the crème de la crème of the creative industries.

Dubai Media City will contribute its expertise at a TED-style talk by Khadija Al Bastaki, director business developmen­t for Dubai Media City. The session will offer the assembled creative communicat­ions profession­als a better understand­ing of emerging industry trends, especially in the dynamic digital media arena.
