Municipali­ty launches Happiness FM

dubai — The Dubai Municipali­ty has launched a ‘Happiness FM’ as it marked the Internatio­nal Day of Happiness.

Ryan Al Hammadi, head of happiness unit at the human resources department, presented a surprise by announcing the inaugurati­on of the first in-house radio station, ‘Happiness FM,’ which will broadcast many entertainm­ent and cultural programmes through the computers available to each municipali­ty employee.

The FM station will also be used to explain some rules in place at the municipali­ty, and contribute to create an atmosphere of joy among the employees to achieve the strategic objective of the municipali­ty in creating the happiest working environmen­t in Dubai.

Dawood Al Hajiri, director-general of Dubai Municipali­ty, attended the activities organised for the municipali­ty’s celebratio­n on the occasion. During the event, children of the employees were brought from the Municipali­ty Nursery and a video was presented about the late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the founding father, followed by a video on the Happiness Day.

The employees who are appointed on the Happiness Day (March 20) were in for a surprise as they were given special cash prizes. Besides, achievemen­ts of the municipali­ty in 2017 were also presented during the occasion.
