Municipality launches Happiness FM

dubai — The Dubai Municipality has launched a ‘Happiness FM’ as it marked the International Day of Happiness.

Ryan Al Hammadi, head of happiness unit at the human resources department, presented a surprise by announcing the inauguration of the first in-house radio station, ‘Happiness FM,’ which will broadcast many entertainment and cultural programmes through the computers available to each municipality employee.

The FM station will also be used to explain some rules in place at the municipality, and contribute to create an atmosphere of joy among the employees to achieve the strategic objective of the municipality in creating the happiest working environment in Dubai.

Dawood Al Hajiri, director-general of Dubai Municipality, attended the activities organised for the municipality’s celebration on the occasion. During the event, children of the employees were brought from the Municipality Nursery and a video was presented about the late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the founding father, followed by a video on the Happiness Day.

The employees who are appointed on the Happiness Day (March 20) were in for a surprise as they were given special cash prizes. Besides, achievements of the municipality in 2017 were also presented during the occasion.
