abu dhabi — The UAE Embassy in London has urged Emiratis and visitors from the UAE to be cautious when driving in the UK.

The UAE Embassy in London told Khaleej Times students from the UAE, as well as visitors, must be vigilant when driving with UAE licensed plates in popular areas in the UK.

The alert came as a response after the horrific assault on a UAE ntional on Saturday by an Arab man, who vandalised a number of vehicles that are registered with UAE and other GCC licensed plates.

Videos revealed the man, who was wearing a black mask, spray painting ‘war’ on a number of luxury vehicles on Brompton Street in London.

The UAE Embassy in London told Khaleej Times the case is currently with the Metropolitan Police.

“The embassy emphasises that London is a very busy and cosmopolitan city. It welcomes tourists from all over the world alongside international students and working professionals from every walk of life.”

Meanwhile, the 24-year-old suspect appeared in Westminster Court on Monday. He was charged with assault and carrying out a series of vandalism.
