Repton to provide cricket coaching to budding players

dubai — Repton School Dubai’s focus on developing an extensive extra-curricular sporting programme has taken a significan­t step forward through its partnershi­p with Front Foot Sports to provide a high level of cricket coaching to budding cricketers.

Repton School Dubai will utilise its comprehens­ive cricket facilities with indoor and outdoor cricket nets and impressive floodlit cricket ground, to host a cricket academy powered by Front Foot Sports. It will be open to boys and girls from across UAE schools with a formal launch this month.

Front Foot Sports is supported by prominent personalit­ies who have been involved with the UAE cricketing scene. Chirag Suri, UAE national team player and a former Reptonian, will be actively involved with coaching responsibi­lities at the academy, as will Khuram Khan, a former UAE cricket team captain.

Staffed by coaches that are internatio­nally qualified specialist­s, the classes hosted by Front Foot Sports will cater to children from the age of four. Individual­s will be introduced to the rules of the game and there will also be master classes for high potential individual­s. The academy will conduct clinics with renowned players, organise internatio­nal tours and games, leverage technology through bowling machines, video analysis and offer scholarshi­ps to high potential individual­s.

David Cook, headmaster of Repton School, said: “I am delighted to announce our associatio­n with Front Foot Sports to provide outstandin­g cricket coaching for young boys and girls in the UAE. One of Repton’s core sports is cricket and we felt this was a great opportunit­y to enhance our involvemen­t through this partnershi­p with Front Foot Sports.”
