Two arrested for schoolgirl murder

Police have arrested two accused involved in the murder of a schoolgirl, who was shot dead by them for resisting the kidnapping bid in Kotli Sattian on Thursday. A senior police official said the accused, Kashif and Moeen, had tried to kidnap Areeba Qadir, on her way home from school. Upon resistance, Kashif opened fire on Areeba killing her on the spot. —
