Firing at house of apex court judge in Lahore

lahore — Two firing incidents took place outside Supreme Court judge Justice Ijazul Ahsan’s residence in Model Town here late Saturday night and Sunday morning.

According to police, Justice Ijaz and his family remained unscathed in the firing incident and no damage was done to the property.

Supreme Court Chief Justice Saqib Nisar visited the residence of Justice Ijaz after the second firing incident. Justice Saqib enquired about the well-being of the justice and his family.

Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has ordered police apprehend the culprits while taking notice of the incidents.

Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah Khan has said that the residence had security cameras surveillance and the police would soon be able to apprehend the culprits. — APP
