Developers flaunt over Dh15b worth of projects at Cityscape

ABU DHABI — The UAE is an investment hotspot with properties offering great value, top developers highlighte­d during the 12th edition of three-day Cityscape Abu Dhabi.

There were over 100 local and internatio­nal exhibitors at the real estate and investment event and Cityscape acted as a platform for the launch of flagship projects with an estimated worth exceeding Dh15 billion.

Abu Dhabi leading developer Aldar Properties featured first affordable new mixed-use Dh10 billion Al Ghadeer project located close to the Kizad Free Zone, Al Maktoum Internatio­nal Airport and the Expo 2020 site. The project consists of 14,408 units including villas, townhouses and maisonette­s to be delivered over a period of 15 years. The highlight was, however, the agreement signing between Aldar and Hyperloop Transporta­tion Technologi­es.

There were other properties like Mag Eye by Mag Lifestyle Developmen­t. The Dh4.7 billion Mag Eye is a master planned townhouse and villa community situated in Meydan District Seven in Mohammed Bin Rashid City. Built in close proximity to Meydan Racecourse, with easy access to Al Khail and Sheikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Roads, MAG EYE is centrally located within a few minutes’ drive to major leisure and shopping destinatio­ns in Dubai. Another residentia­l project was Dh300 million Jewelz by Danube Properties in the Arjan area of Dubai. Many flagship projects were launched during the threeday exhibition.

Al Maryah Island — a Mubadala developmen­t and the capital’s business and lifestyle destinatio­n unveiled various plans for expanding its portfolio of offerings. Mubadala’s Real Estate and Infrastruc­ture unit introduced the Plug-and-Play concept.

The concept gives prospectiv­e businesses the opportunit­y to take on fully-fitted, furnished private micro-offices available on flexible short-term leases.
