1. You can achieve anything with constant perseverance.

2. Anger won’t provide any solution. If you’re looking for a solution, words and actions are your only hope.

3. Everything happens for a reason. And it’s generally a good one.

4. Maintain a healthy relationship with everyone. You never know whose help you might need in future.

5. Don’t overspend. Save money. You never want to be in debt in future. Keep investing your savings. If you don’t, you might spend it as you can see the liquid cash in your account.

6. If you visit a mall even without the intention to buy anything, chances are high that you will eventually buy something. Understand the difference between ‘need’ and ‘want’.

7. Respect those beneath you (in the social hierarchy). If you don’t do that, don’t expect the same from people above you.

8. Don’t show off and never be arrogant. Know your roots and try to be as modest as possible. (She told me this when I wanted to give my relatives a piece of my mind after settling down in London)

9. Feed the poor. It will make the world a better place.

10. Finally, don’t leave your parents in their old age. They took care of you when you couldn’t. It’s your turn to repay them.
