CEOs pledge Dh1M for upcoming Pakistan health centre
dubai — Beefing up the campaign for the upcoming offshore nonprofit Pakistan Medical Centre, CEO of the Community Development Authority (CDA) Dr Omar Al Muthanna recently addressed an audience of over 200 diverse nationalities at the Pakistan Auditorium. The Pakistan Medical Centre is a component of Pakistan Centre, the world’s largest community centre for overseas Pakistanis.
The event ‘ CEOs Legacy’ was a collaborated effort by Pakistan Association Dubai and CEO Clubs Network to raise awareness amongst CEOs of various corporations to leave a legacy through their corporate social responsibility for the first community healthcare facility in the GCC.

The CEO Clubs Network is the largest business networking club in the world with a presence in 20 countries with more than 16,000 exclusive elite CEOs and high executives’ members worldwide.
“The challenge is not to construct the medical centre but to sustain it. We need support and strength from individuals and corporates who believe in giving back to the community,” said Dr Faisel Ikram, Pakistan Association Dubai president.
“In the Year of Zayed, we should all be motivated to leave a legacy behind and what other way than contributing towards a centre that will be a beacon of hope for thousands of people,” added Dr Ikram.
Local hospitals such as Mediclinic City Hospital, Saudi German Hospital, RAK College of Dentistry and Supervision optical have already pledged support towards the community healthcare facility.
Mudassir Sheikha, co-founder and CEO of Careem, was the motivational speaker of the evening. He highlighted the success story of the region’s leading ride hailing app and the importance of having the best people as your team. Dr Tariq Ahmed Nizami, founder and CEO of CEO Clubs Network, said: “I am proud to associate myself towards this noble cause and we would contribute more than what we have pledged.”
It will serve like any other polyclinic delivering services through different tiers and free to those who cannot afford. The own a brick initiative encourages community members to take ownership through a brick worth a Dh1,000 and become a member of PAD for 10 years.
“With over 15,000 bricks to be given away and construction work already in place, the centre is expected to be inaugurated in 2019,” noted Dr Ikram.
