Duo held for running illegal dental clinic

AJMAN — The Ajman Police have nabbed a Libyan and a European for running a dental clinic without getting approval or licence from health authoritie­s concerned.

The arrests were made by the police in cooperatio­n with the Ministry of Health and Prevention after learning that the duo were treating patients illegally.

The police got a tip-off that a residentia­l flat was being illegally used as a dental clinic, where they were receiving patients, and appointmen­ts were being booked through Facebook.

The two made sure that they locked the doors of the flat after the patients came in, revealed Major Mohamed Hamad Yafoor Al Ghafil, deputy director of the Criminal Investigat­ion Department of Ajman Police.
