An explosives-packed ambulance blows up in a street killing more than 100 people and wounding hundreds more. Taleban claims responsibility
January 29:
At least 11 soldiers end up losing their lives in a pre-dawn attack on a military compound which is claimed by Daesh
March 9:
A suicide bomber on foot blows himself up in a Shia area, killing at least nine people and wounding 18. The attack is claimed by Daesh
March 21:
More than 30 people, mostly teenagers, are killed when a Daesh suicide bomber blows himself up as they celebrate the Persian New Year holiday
april 22:
A Daesh bomber kills 60 people including women and children and wounds 129, all civilians, outside a voter registration centre
april 30:
At least 25 people are killed, including AFP photographer Shah Marai and seven journalists, in two suicide blasts. The attacks were claimed by Daesh
