DBMSC clinch Premier Division title in Insportz Cricket League
dubai — DBMSC (63) defeated Knightshot Hawks (37) to be crowned champions of the Premier Division in the Lenovo Insportz Indoor Cricket League 2018.
Batting first, Team DBMSC scored 63 runs in their allotted 16 overs. The first pair of Aqib Malik & Nashwan Nasir scored 15 runs in the first four overs. the Second pair of Saqib Nazir and Vikrant Shetty added 10 runs in their allotted four overs. The third duo of Jay Zaveri and Dilisara Sasanka Rankoth scored 14 runs with the final pair, Isuru Umesh & Prasanth Kumara batted sensibly and added 24 runs.
In reply, Team Knightshot Hawks’ first pair Rahul Chetwani and Anshu Gopal struggled to face good line length bowling attack of Team DBMSC and managed to scored just three runs.
The second pair, Karan Singh and Naeem Aslam scored negative 2 runs. Siddharth Unnithan & Rashid Sharafuddin displayed good batting skills and scored 11 runs. The last pair Deepak Phulwani & Sagar Mehta batted sensibly and tried their best to fight back scoring 25 runs. They were short of 26 runs from the projected target of 63 runs.
In Division ‘B’ finals, Team Only Fresh Fanatics (96) beat Team SFICC (50) by 46 runs. In Division ‘C’ final, Team Wonderlads ‘A’ (100) defeated Team Lenovo (79) by 21 runs. In Division D final, Team Data Care (80) beat Team Knight Owls (71) by 9 runs. In the Amateur Division final, Team Knight Owls Club (105) won against Chargers ‘C’ (93) by 12 runs
