Dubai Police all set to deal with Eid traffic rush

dubai — The Dubai Police have held a security meeting with various department­s and mall management­s to put in place a comprehens­ive plan to ease traffic congestion­s during the upcoming Eid Al Fitr holidays. A top official said the holidays typically witness heavy traffic jams, especially in commercial centres and tourist areas.

The “unified procedures” would be submitted to Major-General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-inChief of the Dubai Police. He also called on all drivers, especially the youth, to abide by the traffic laws and not to exploit the opportunit­y to commit traffic violations.
