Speaking to Khaleej Times, Bin Khadem said that the initiative — has been made as part of the ‘distress relief project’, which aimed at solving the problem of people in debts.

He added that the annual police project “is based on donations from philanthropists and benefactors which aims to relieve the debts of many good people and help the needy.”

Abdulla Sultan bin Khadem, board member and executive director of the SCI, said that SCI has always been a source of joy for many families and individuals through its various programmes and initiatives.

The charity was able to provide money to five prisoners before the broadcast of the radio program and the rest of the debtors were paid off from the donation collected during the programme. All the inmates will be able to join their families after the procedures are completed.
