DTC camp motivates cabbies; contest winners honoured
RTA’s Dubai Taxi Corporation (DTC) has concluded the Ramadan Camp event held annually, during the holy month of Ramadan, for taxi drivers. The event aims to engage taxi drivers in the spirit of Ramadan, enhance communication and break daily routines, besides indulging them in a social, cultural and religious atmosphere. It is part of the motivational initiatives rolled out by the DTC to boost its employees’ satisfaction and happiness of employees.
Drivers winning the 6th DTC Holy Quran Award as well as the winners of sports competitions were honoured in the presence of Dr Yousef Al Ali, CEO of DTC and a host of honour guests, and representatives of other franchise taxi companies taking part in the event.
“The DTC is keen to continue humanitarian initiatives and the drive of giving, which will make a difference in the implementation of DTC’s CSR policy, especially the Ramadan projects, initiatives and events for this year replicating the atmosphere and blessed values of the holy month,” said Al Ali.
“Ramadan events stem from the belief of the DTC that giving will raise satisfaction to drivers, improve their business conduct that will reflect on services to the public and taxi riders in Dubai. Events included mass iftar, Quran competition, educative lectures and sports activities among others.
They fit well with the initiatives of the Year of Zayed in implementation of the values and positions characterising the late Sheikh Zayed throughout his life. As such, it contributes to making 2018 blessed with achievements mirroring the vision and wisdom of Sheikh Zayed,” concluded the CEO of Dubai Taxi Corporation.
