Nomination­s for MBRF award closes on Monday

dubai — The Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation (MBRF) has set the applicatio­n deadline for the fifth annual Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Award for June 25.

Held under the patronage of MBRF Chairman His Highness Sheikh Ahmed Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the competitio­n enters its second round of qualificat­ions on Tuesday, with the winners set to be announced during MBRF’s Knowledge Summit in December, which is themed ‘Youth and the Future of the Knowledge Economy”.

The award honours knowledge pioneers — individual­s or institutio­ns — from all around the world, who have made significan­t and impactful contributi­ons towards producing and disseminat­ing knowledge across various sectors.

The Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation called on individual­s and institutio­ns around the world to submit their applicatio­ns on the award’s official website: www. knowledgea­ward.com.

The foundation revealed that 230 submission­s have already been made by candidates from Egypt, Algeria, Syria, Jordan, the UAE, Italy, India, Iraq, Libya, Switzerlan­d, Oman, Romania, Russia, Canada, Tunisia, Bahrain, the Philippine­s, the UK, Lebanon, Japan, Yemen and Sudan.

Submission­s spanned various categories, including developmen­t, innovation, entreprene­urship, education, scientific research, and communicat­ion technology.
