dos and don’ts for fellow entrepreneurs

-

Dos > Keep dreaming: It’s never a waste of time. That’s where the next big idea will be conceived.

> Dream big: Take advantage of the UAE’s encouragement for entrepreneurship. You are never too young or never too old. Now is the time to start your first, second or even third venture.

> Keep trying: The only way forward is to show up, try and fail. There is no escaping failure. Only failure gives you an opportunity to fix things and make it right and surge ahead to the bigger and better. > No better time than now: You may tend to think that it is a saturated market and may not find jobs. For the time we are in and the technical reach we have access to, there is no better time than now. If you put love in what you do and are clear about your purpose for doing so, your voice and brand will attract the right community. With that level of attraction, fulfilling jobs will come to you.

Don’ts > Copy: Nobody has the unique combination of your diverse talents, your experiences, your past, your culture and your upbringing. As a leader, you set your unique path on which others can thrive.

> Wait: Don’t wait for that website makeover, that better employee, that better portfolio. Just do it. Dreaming up designs and concepts and shopping for beautiful things and fulfilling client dreams are all wonderful things. But to make it in business, do what makes you uncomfortable as that’s where your numbers will begin to roll in. Procrastination is unfortunately a very comfortable place.
