Maxtalent impress on UK tour
dubai — Team Maxtalent Global Sports returned from their tour of the UK having tasted success in five of their eight matches.
The Under-13 boys played five matches in which they won three and lost two.
The Under-16 boys played three games and tasted success in two matches but suffered one loss. But the biggest experience for the lads was playing at Lord’s.
One of the high points of the tour was the Maxtalent-Star Cricket Academy’s UK Challenge Trophy Test match.
The Under-16 team took on Stoke D’Abernon CC from Cobham Surrey over two days in a 160-over game.
Krish Bandivdekar (5 for 18) and Amrit Singh (3 for 12) ripped through the batting with support from Chris Sequeira, Sreekar Gudipathi, Harjyot, Shaayan, Mohammad and Aryan chipping in with wickets.
Batting Amrit Singh (34), Yash (22), Krish (35), Siddharth (44), Chris Sequeira (32), Sreekar Gudpati (35) and Aditya (12) made their mark with the bat in the Test match which Maxtalent won with six wickets to spare.
The tour’s best performers from the U-16 list included, Amrit (batting), Krish (bowling), Sreekar (allrounder), Yash Hegde and Harjot (promising players).
For U-13, Rakshit Gawade (5 for 26) was the find of the tour, Parth and Arman (promising players), Ryan Javed (batting)and Shayan Reddy (all-rounder) made standout performance.
