Civic body receives 1,111 emergency calls in H1
993 Number to reach out to the Abu Dhabi City Municipality office
abu dhabi — A total of 1,111 cases were received by the emergency, crisis and disasters office at the Abu Dhabi City Municipality (ADCM) since the beginning of 2018 until the end of June. The office receives reports from the community members and the institutions through round-theclock hotlines.
During the first half of this year, the municipality dealt with 9,283 phone calls, received 150 regular reports, 810 moderately important reports, 124 urgent reports that required rapid reaction, and 27 extremely important reports.
The municipality also received 99 reports about road emergencies, 300 reports about maintenance and lighting repairing, and 391 reports about gardening, agriculture and irrigation. It handled 129 reports relating to rainwater drainage networks, 126 reports about the city appearance and 66 other reports.
The emergency, crisis and disasters office called upon all community members and institutions to contribute to reducing the impacts of the negative practices through calling the emergency number and reporting any unusual observations. It also urged them to support the municipality’s efforts by demonstrating the spirit of social responsibility to create a safe and civilised living and housing environment for the entire population.
