Sharjah targets students in its save power and water drive
sharjah — The Sharjah Electricity and Water Authority (Sewa) has launched a power and water rationalisation campaign targeting students across the emirate. A series of awareness activities, including plays that expose the danger of energy wastage and its wanton consumption, form part of the campaign. Educative kits, aimed at energy efficiency , are being distributed during the drive.
Dr Rashid Al Leem, chairman of Sewa, said the authority seeks to cooperate with all the institutions to boost the energy conservation campaign. He added that Sewa visited schools and trained students on how to play their part in raising awareness of rationalisation in power consumption.
