Lie calmly on the ground and try to take shelter by swarming under a solid table and hold onto it until the tremor stops In case there is no furniture around, cover your face and head with your arms and turn to a corner of the building

Stay away from glass, windows, exterior doors, walls or anything that may fall on you

Detach the electricit­y mains and water sources and close the gas sources tightly Do not use electric elevators, use the stairs upon ascending and descending from the building

Avoid using your phone and electronic devices

Do not stand next to telephone poles, electricit­y posts or thick trees Avoid standing in high areas

Do not enter open or exposed areas

Keep away from metals and steel materials
