VICTIMS OF SEWAGE DEATHS

A woman Rani holds her child and a picture of her with husband Anil who died in a sewer, during a protest gathering near parliament in New Delhi on Tuesday. The protesters called for an end to deaths due to sewer cleaning. According to Bezwada Wilson of the Sanitation Workers Movement group, more than 1,800 people across India have died while cleaning septic tanks or sewers since 2014. —
