NAMA’s e-academy for women across world

dubai — The Sharjah-based NAMA Women Advancemen­t Establishm­ent has launched a free e-Learning platform to help women overcome the obstacles that hinder their access to knowledge and quality learning.

The initiative named – Badiri EAcademy, available in both English and Arabic — was launched in a private event at the Permanent Mission of the United Arab Emirates to the United Nations on the sidelines of NAMA’s participat­ion at the 73rd United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York, following the directives of Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, wife of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, and Chairperso­n of NAMA.

NAMA called on all individual­s from around the world to register in the programmes and training courses available on the E-Academy’s website www.badiriacad­emy.org, and download its mobile applicatio­n.

Reem BinKaram, director of NAMA, said: “Recent statistics indicate that over 54 per cent of the world’s population has access to the Internet, and this open source online learning platform has been built with the aim of enabling users to make the most of the quality programmes and courses it offers free of charge.”

In its initial phase, the E-Academy will offer profession­al training courses in business, entreprene­urship, culture, theories, and Science in Arabic and English. This list will gradually expand to include additional courses and languages.
