The Dubai Crown Prince’s challenge to residents to take up a fitness activity for 30 minutes a day for 30 days is back and how! The Dubai Fitness Challenge — which was launched by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum last year — will run from October 26 to November 24. Here is a lowdown on the activities on offer across Dubai: 1
What: DMCC Park Fitness Village
Where: Jumeirah Lake Towers Park
When: October 28 to November 22
time: Weekdays: 7am–10pm; Fridays: 2pm-10pm; Saturdays: 12pm–9pm
Intensity: Beginner Best for: Adrenaline and team sports fans
What to expect: Are you into your extreme sports? Start off by experiencing the exciting DMCC Park running track and fitness trail, or take part in over 400 free fitness classes happening on the main stage. Get involved in a variety of tournaments being held by PSSA Basketball Academy, IFA Football Academy and DuPlays Tournaments.

What: Palm Jumeirah Fitness Village
Where: Al Ittihad Park, Palm Jumeirah
When: October 28 to November 22 time: Saturday to Wednesday: 7am-10pm; Thursday and Friday: 10am–11.30pm Intensity: Beginner Best for: Families of all ages
What to expect: The Glow Run at The Palm Jumeirah Fitness Village, an experience for both fitness enthusiasts and newbies alike. Experience the Virtual Fitness Trail with 12 digital activations each with their own trainer, and enjoy more than 300 free fitness classes daily.

What: Kite Beach Fitness Village
Where: Kite Beach When: October 28 to November 22
time: Daily: 9am–6pm
Intensity: Beginner Best for: Beach and water sports enthusiasts
What to expect: Enjoy beach sports tournaments including cricket, soccer and volleyball, as well as an iconic National Assault course, designed to challenge anyone with its 2km course of 12 obstacles. The City Swim will also take place here on 27 October, giving swimmers of all ages the opportunity to challenge themselves with 200m, 500m, 1000m and 2500m swimming courses in the warm waters around the coast.

What: Closing weekend carnival
Where: Burj Park, Dountown Dubai
When: 23 November 2pm-10pm; 24 November 1pm-9pm
What to expect: Obstacle course including balance beams, jumping blocks, tyre run and more. A one-of-a-kind LED Running Wall, Teqball, BMX Zone, in-line skating and a state-of-the-art VR Zone for the latest in sports and fitness.

What to expect: Over 300 fitness classes, including a Padel court, AFC Interactive Roadshow, Teqball tournaments, golf simulator and yoga sessions. Head down with your coworkers and challenge your rivals to a fight for the fittest.

What: Al Khawaneej Walk Fitness Village Where: Quranic Park Fitness Village

Intensity: Beginner Best for: Cycling fans
What to expect: Cycle your way to an ideal family day out. With a special focus on cycling, visitors can grab a bike and cycle around the track, enjoying a variety of pit-stops for all different fitness needs including TechnoGym MyCycling training bikes and kids’ play areas.

What: Opening weekend carnival
Where: Dubai Festival City
When: 26 October 2pm-11pm; 27 October 1pm-7pm
What to expect: 26 fitness classes at the main stage, including yoga, dancing and spinning, plus kid-specific active zones that include climbing and trampoline areas, inflatable assault courses, toddler zones, kids’ yoga, basketball and even boot camp.
