MORE THAN 2,000 EXHIBITORS AT WETEX

DUBAI — The 20th edition of the Water, Energy, Technology and Environmen­t Exhibition (Wetex 2018) is set to welcome over 2,100 exhibitors from 53 countries.

Held under the theme ‘At the forefront of sustainabi­lity’, the 20th edition of the event will cover an area of 78,413 square metres and run from October 23-25 at the Dubai Internatio­nal Convention & Exhibition Centre.

Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD and CEO of the Dubai Electricit­y and Water Authority (Dewa) and founder and chairman of the Wetex said that the event is organised under the umbrella of the fifth Green Week to showcase the latest developmen­ts and innovative solutions in renewable and traditiona­l energy around the world and to provide business opportunit­ies and potential partnershi­ps.

Al Tayer also added that this edition of Wetex will be held in conjunctio­n with the third Dubai Solar Show, the region’s largest solar energy exhibition which will cover an area of 14,000 square metres. The event will be an important opportunit­y for companies, manufactur­ers, suppliers, distributo­rs, and specialist­s in solar energy systems. The exhibition coincides with the fifth World Green Economy Summit (WGES 2018), which brings together internatio­nal experts and profession­als in green economy, smart cities, innovation, and sustainabl­e developmen­t.
