Pink Polo Day returns for new season to Ghantoot on Nov 2

dubai — Pink Polo Day returns for a new season to the Ghantoot Polo & Racing Club on November 2.

Now in its ninth year, the full day event will see a polo match between two powerful teams, including one led by Sheikha Maitha bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

There will be a host of activities at the club, including free health check-ups, awareness lectures, medical examinatio­ns as well as games for children. The Pink Polo Day is an initiative led by the Abu Dhabi Sports Council and supported by the Health Authoritie­s and the General Authority for Youth and Sports Welfare. It is held every year to support and raise awareness on Breast Cancer in the region.

Beverly Hills Medical Clinic and Al Rahba Hospital will conduct free health check-ups for all attendees as well as provide free mammograms vouchers in line with the Department of Health’s strategy.

Supporting the Pink Polo Day initiative again this year, Maserati Premier Motors are renewing their partnershi­p with Ghantoot Racing & Polo Club for the third year in a row.

“We are pleased to extend our sponsorshi­p at the Ghantoot Racing and Polo Club for the third consecutiv­e year,” said Jad Elias, vice president sales, Maserati, Al Tayer Motors.

“The tournament­s held at the Ghantoot polo grounds provide equestrian sport fans entertaini­ng action,” he added.

“This is an exciting time for us and we look forward to a successful season at Ghantoot Polo & Racing Club,” said Ahmed Al Nuaimi, managing director at the club. “It is a great pleasure to have the partners, sponsors and polo fans join us each year at our grounds for Pink Polo,” said Sheikh Falah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

“We have seen the event grow over the past years and we are pleased to be contributi­ng in raising awareness towards such an important issue,” he added.
