Last-gasp James lifts LA Lakers

LeBron James walked into Staples Center on Halloween dressed as Jason from the “Friday the 13th” movies. Five hours later, he saved the Los Angeles Lakers.

He scored 29 points and made the game-winning free throw with 2.1 seconds left.

Serena can still grab Slams record

American number three Madison Keys said she has no doubt Serena Williams can equal the record of 24 Grand Slam titles despite her stormy defeat in the US Open final.

Keys said Williams certainly had Margaret Court’s all-time mark as a target. —
