District courts go online in Abbottabad

abbottabad — Senior Civil Judge, Abbottabad, Abdul Majid Khan has said for the first time in history of Khyber Pakhtunkhw­a an online system in district courts has been started to enable complainan­ts to get all sorts of informatio­n through an SMS.

He was briefing the media regarding new online system here on Friday. He said that the system would help complainan­ts to register First Informatio­n Report and get related informatio­n about the hearing date via SMS alert.

He added that computeris­ation of the court record is in progress that would also enable complainan­ts to get copies of documents. He said that under the system file of the case would be automatica­lly moved to senior civil judge.—
