SHARJAH — A regular at the Sharjah book fair every year, Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance, has said that this year’s Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF) has “surpassed expectations”, dubbing the emirate “the real capital of culture and intellectuals”.

During his tour of the exhibition, he praised how His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, has played a key role in supporting the UAE, Arab and global culture. He added that the fair has become a platform for the ministry to raise awareness and promote its programmes. —
