UAE take on Egypt as Brazil clash with Spain in Beach Soccer
dubai — The 3,500-seater, stateof-the-art stadium at Kite Beach is all geared up to host UAE, Brazil, Spain, Eygpt, Russia, Tahiti, USA and Iran over five days during the Huawei Intercontinental Beach Soccer Cup Dubai, which kicks off from Tuesday.
The competition has travelled this year to one of the most wellknown beaches in Dubai, with the magnificent Burj Al Arab as the perfect background for such a
flashing event. Saeed Hareb, General Secretary of the Dubai Sports Council, is fully convinced that the new venue will mean a great step forward.
“We have great expectations with the new venue. It is an iconic beach in the city, with one of the most beautiful backgrounds, and we are sure that the fans will love it,” he said.
Similarly, Executive Vice-President of Beach Soccer Worldwide, Joan Cusco, feels satisfied with the new place beach soccer has found in Dubai, one of the heartlands of the sport.
There will be free shuttle services for fans from Sunset Mall to the stadium.
